This Privacy Policy explains how VVR Smart Solutions Private Limited ("VVR Smart Solutions", "SkuTeq", "we", "us", or "our"), the developer and operator of the SkuTeq Parent-School mobile application (the "App"), collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when schools, parents, and guardians use the App. This Policy is published to meet the requirements of the Google Play Data Safety section, Apple App Store privacy disclosures, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
The App is provided to parents/guardians through their child's school, which is our institutional customer. In this relationship, the school determines what student data is entered into SkuTeq's systems (the school is the "Data Fiduciary"/data controller for student academic records), and VVR Smart Solutions acts as the technology provider and data processor operating the platform on the school's behalf, except where noted below (such as account credentials and in-app payment data, which we process directly).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information provided by the school (on behalf of parents/students)
- Student details: name, class/section, roll number, admission number, date of birth, photograph (if uploaded by the school)
- Academic data: attendance records, examination/report card marks, homework and assignment status
- Fee and financial records: fee structure, installment schedule, amounts paid/due, payment history
- Parent/guardian contact details: name, mobile number, email address, relationship to student
1.2 Information you provide directly
- Account login credentials (registered mobile number/email, OTP verification)
- Messages, queries, or support requests sent to the school or to SkuTeq support
- Any documents or images you choose to upload (e.g., leave applications, supporting documents)
1.3 Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, app version (e.g., v2.3.1, Build 145)
- Usage data: screens visited, feature usage, session duration, crash and error logs
- Push notification tokens (to deliver circulars, fee reminders, attendance alerts)
The App does not currently collect GPS or bus-tracking location data. If this feature is added in future, this Policy will be updated accordingly before the feature is enabled.
1.4 Payment information
If the App offers online fee payment, transactions are processed through a licensed third-party payment gateway (e.g., Razorpay/PayU/similar). SkuTeq does not collect or store your full card number, CVV, or net-banking credentials — these are entered directly on the payment gateway's secure interface. We retain only the transaction reference, amount, status, and receipt for accounting and reconciliation purposes.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate core App features: attendance, academics, fee status, circulars, and parent-school communication
- To send transactional notifications (fee due reminders, attendance alerts, notices)
- To authenticate users and secure accounts
- To process fee payments and generate receipts
- To provide customer support (email and chat)
- To maintain, debug, and improve App performance and reliability
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and educational-institution recordkeeping obligations
We do not use student or parent data for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.
3. Children's Data
The App is used by parents/guardians on behalf of their children, who may be minors. Student data is provided to us by the school, not collected directly from children, and access to student records within the App is restricted to the verified parent/guardian account linked to that student by the school. We do not knowingly enable direct account creation by children, and we do not serve targeted advertisements based on children's data, consistent with the child-data safeguards under the DPDP Act, 2023.

- We conduct periodic security reviews of the infrastructure supporting the App.
6. Data Retention
We retain student and parent data for as long as the associated school account remains active, and thereafter for a period necessary to comply with educational recordkeeping, tax, and legal requirements. A parent may request deletion of their account data as described in Section 8, subject to the school's recordkeeping obligations for enrolled/former students.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law (including the DPDP Act, 2023), you may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you or your child
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data
- Request erasure of your account data, where not otherwise required to be retained by the school or by law
- Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g., push notifications) at any time via device settings
- Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (Section 9) or with the Data Protection Board of India
8. Account & Data Deletion
To request deletion of your account or associated personal data, email support@skuteq.com with your registered mobile number and school name. We will process verified requests within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required for financial, legal, or school-recordkeeping purposes.
